Bloodlines 血脉

Bloodlines 血脉 is an ongoing artistic investigation of the Chinese identity by six multidisciplinary artists across the Sinosphere. Over the past six months, our collective has gathered online from our individual homes in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and the United States to share in our perspectives and artistic practices. This work interweaves our personal and family histories of migration and dissent, in an effort to trace the volatility and promise of Chineseness as an individual, cultural, and global identity.
Bloodlines was presented as a work-in-progress online in January 2022, as part of New York-based Fault Line Theatre's Irons in the Fire series. Languages included English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and the Wuhan dialect, with subtitles provided.
